Oversized Wild Animals

The first thing I remember about the dream last night was walking around this large pool. Someone was telling me about an over sized alligator that resided in the pond that had been increasingly dangerous the last couple of nights. Suddenly, I saw the alligator on the other side of the pool biting itself... Literally tearing itself to shreds. It finally ended up killing itself leaving blood and alligator guts all around the pool. It was really brutal for a dream... but not quite a nightmare since I did not feel any fear throughout the vision. Later in my dream, an over sized caribou took over the pond. It was really weird as I did not know caribou enjoyed swimming in water for long periods of time and could hold their breathe for around 10 minutes.
