Clowns, Mazes, and White Horses

A while ago I had the strangest nightmare. It began with a few friends and I on some sort of carnival ride out in the middle of no where. We were in some kind of other world filled with random objects where people only came around or shown themselves when they felt like it. As we were going through this ride, I could feel the hair on the back of my neck start to rise and knew something terrible would be around the next corner. Sure enough as the ride traveled through into the next room, which was filled with many different mirrors, stood a clown. He was tall and dressed in a green and yellow suit, face painted up with a red nose and red hair.

Immediately I started to panic and try to go the other way but the ride kept pushing me closer and closer to this terrifying clown. He was finally right next to me when the ride made a sudden right turn out into some kind of maze. There I exited the ride and began to run across a field that had suddenly appeared. There was a beautiful white horse standing on the other side of the field. When I reached the creature, it kneeled down in a way telling me to jump on. I did as I was still trying to run away from the clown who had begun to chase me through the field. The horse jolted and began to run faster then any horse I had ever been on. It suddenly made a giant leap and I found myself high above this vast maze which stretched for miles below.

The next moment I was looking through what seemed to be a blurry television at a group of doctors standing around the white horse I had just been on. At first I couldn't really make out what they were saying until "the girl who was found next to the horse" was said. I started to listen in as they explained the horse didn't know what kind of power it had and when it jumped, it overshot its' target killing me on impact. They continued to say the horse would be fine but the girl was a lost cause. I then heard something behind me so I turned to find the same clown who had been chasing me before chuckling and welcoming me to his world.

I finally woke up in a terrible sweat as this was the first time I had ever "died" in a dream.

The following was taken from:
Dream Dictionary

Dying

Not a portent of death per say.

1. If you dream of dying yourself, then all your troubles will soon be over and you can start anew. However, it could also mean that a part of you is dying and, if the other symbols in the dream tell you that it’s a part of you that you like, you’d better find a way to resurrect it, and fast.

2. Sometimes this can be a wish-fulfillment dream, if you dream that someone who is causing trouble for you is dying. Don’t feel guilty; this is a better way to manifest that wish than other ways!

3. Dreams in which the dreamer talks with dead people imply that very welcome news is on its way.

I am not sure I agree with the above statement... meaning I may possibly get over my fear of clowns? Or maybe the things going wrong in my life will right themselves? I can only hope for the best.
